So true Dawn,

I was the pharmacist yesterday picking up some meds and thought I had ordered my

Ambien (for sleep) and Vicoprofen (for pain) but had forgotten (a normal thing

for me since tx). The regular pharmacist and I laughed about it and he

immediately got on the computer and set them up to be called in. I said OK no

hurry, shows you how badly I need them huh.

The new pharmacist says well it's a good thing it's not antihistimines with this

weather we're having (Texas springtime this year is baaaad for allergies even

people without allergies are miserable, even the idiots are blooming!) and I

said thank goodness, only done two antihistimines this spring yet, cuz I been

there done that. She says oh? I said oh yeah, 2 years of hives and I avoid

antihistimines as much as possible now. Had my fill.

She says oh my, what caused tha?. I said good ol' Interferon. Her eyes popped

open and she said Oh, so sorry you had to do that (she didn't ask why and I

didn't volunteer), and I said you know what, there's a lot worse things than

Interferon.

I waved happily bye bye to them both and the guy pharmacist just waved and

laughed and the new one just looked perplexed. I'm sure he filled her in after I

left.

So there are things to be thankful for. I still get pills, and sometimes I hate

that. Rarely did before tx. But hey, could be worse!

:)

Dawn,

It's sad how hard we are on ourselves. Did you take a day to love yourself this

week. To let go of everything and just love yourself for who you are?

I have always compared people to the crystals in a crystal cluster. Each point

is unique and perfect unto itself, yet all the points that make up the cluster

live in perfect harmony...if only humyns could learn that lesson.

Okay, so I pay more attention to what the 4 leggeds, winged ones, finned ones,

the stone people, the standing ones (trees), etc., tell me than what most people

tell me. But I've learned a lot in my life from paying attention to the Great

Spirit's messengers.

So after I suggested taking a day to love ourselves, I stopped at a used book

store and this book by Sark grabbed me and made me buy it. <g> The first page

was so appropriate to what I'd talked about. I'll post it in a separate post.

Hey....anyone follow racing? Did you see Smarty romp down the stretch to a

7+ length win? Nine races, 5 different tracks and undefeated. We could have a

champion race horse this year...we'll find out in 3 weeks at the Belmont.

our past .. many use for an excuse for the way we/they

are ... .. that you can go on after bad treatment or

failures.. you make the final decision.. you dont let things that happened to

you in the past.. at least the bad things .. dictate your future...

Terry / Tatzei / horse lovers :). First off Terry -- I'm glad you're

feeling better. And Yes -- please put the pics up!! Bore anyone ? ? Are

you

kidding ? ? Well..... it sure won't bore me!! (sorry -- this is off

topic). I got SO excited watching Preakness yesterday and was SO impressed

over

this " explosive " horse (as they put it) called " Smarty " (who I fell in

LOVE with when I saw him run the Derby), all I want to do today is go to the

stables with my SON!! My son came HOME yesterday (arrived at our HOUSE)

after 9-mo stay in Afghanistan, and it was elating enough to see him, let

alone the fact that we got to watch the Preakness together!!!! He " got it

honest " when it comes to " horses " (but especially thoroughbreds). He was

conceived

in Kentucky, (but wasn't raised there) but he grew up hearing about all our

adventures and horses and racing, etc. It's always been a family thing to

watch the Derby, Preakness, and Belmont, and for the past two years -- he hasn't

been here with us to watch those races Though he has never ridden much (I

was out of the horses when he was growing up), we did occasionally go ride

at the local stables when he was a kid, and it always thrilled him to the

BONE!!! He loves thoroughbreds and has dreams of having his own some day.

We

were " whooping and hollering " in this den yesterday as Smarty began pulling out

in front like a ROCKET !! :) :) :) .

Have a good day, everyone. I'm totally elated that my son is home. He's

elated to be home, too. Happy Trails :).

channel guide and then it went to auto racing! Since confusion IS my life I

assumed I had misread it.

LOL --ex lives in Florida and loves Hockey and Jai Lai (or however you spell

it). He didn't get to watch Preakness yesterday because he was on the job.

He called during pre-lims, though. We talked about how much money we used

to LOSE at the tracks (but we had fun losing :) ). I had to laugh at own

confusion -- apparently I was so excited this morning when I wrote note, I put

" watching Belmont " (and it's three weeks away yet) :) . Have fun watching

Hockey! I'm taking a break from being outside (HOT out there today). Who's

on first?

Thanks. Just got the Sunday papers. Sleek and elegant Smarty is all

over the place. Maybe I can rise above my confusion and catch the 3rd leg.

I saw the Derby. - Pam
