Guest guest
I have not had any personal experience with electronic muscle stimulators. But, interestingly enough, I just heard a review of them, along with 9 other " weight loss " devices on the evening news last week. The report said that EMS may be effective if the muscles already had potential. Since my lower legs have not responded at all to 4 months of hydraulic strength training, but my " good " muscles have, I'd rank my lower legs as not having any real potential at all. I think I would have noticed a difference by now. But, EMS might be worth a try. I wonder what our doctors would say? Keep us posted if you give it a try, and kind of results you have. I, for one, would be very interested! Thanks.

Guest guest
Alan here, I was told by my neuro that because of my CMT I should not use such machines (after another doc had me use one for 2 months).
Guest guest
Alan.....thanks for the info. That is my point unfortunately. Doctors don't seem to know which way is up on CMT. I would be interested in knowing WHY I am not supposed to use them other than a flat directive. My current doctor (HMO Model) had never heard of CMT until I came along. My CMT never really began getting noticeably worse until I cut back on my physical activity, so who knows? It would seem that one of those machines would serve the purpose of massage and stimulation that can help with the results of the demylelination process. Thanks.
