Dear Midge and all...

I do not write often being that lately I am very tired and often it is

difficult for me to post due to my typing (as I said before I am fatigued and

it affects my typing), but I had to tell you about how my life has been since

using a powered chair.

I am now a volunteer for a mentally disabled group in my building...though

they do not live here they have classes during Monday through Friday down the

hall from my apartment. I go bowling with them on Tuesdays, (though I admit

not a very good bowler...lol!) and I feel very important in the scheme of

life. I volunteered to help for neighborhood walks, and parties, etc. I

feel like they do not care that I am disabled...they care that I am involved

in their lives...I do belong in this world...wheelchair and all!!! I

encourage your attitude and all of us who are changing the attitudes of so

many people!!! I have been worsening physically, but emotianally I have

grown more than ever!!! There is always a rainbow at the end of the

tunnel...and I am saying this from experience!!

Love to all!!

Kathy from Brooklyn
