Guest guest
While my 'dream life' has always been 'wild' and unusual, most of my life, even as a child I was taking medications. Now I still take a few medications; when one is added, as simple as one was for a face rash last week, I had very bad dreams; much like nightmares as a child. So, for me, it seems medications and the mix of them, do cause dream changes. ANY change in my level of pain, even the slightest headache, will cause a nightmare. Also for me, if I have unresolved conflict from the day, month, year, etc. that can show up in dreams. I learned so much from dream analysis about this and MY dreams/nightmare and myself - I also studied under a Jugian analyst for a time and we 'worked' together on how the subconscious holds YEARS of stuff. After one period of terrible nightmares at a very outwardly happy time in my life, I learned why and how these nightmares were coming out now and how to deal with them. I would encourage you to have your Dad seen by a Dr. for everything and go from there, with a special check on the mix of medications and level of Dad's pain. Sometimes Pharmcists are extremely good at cross-checking what meds cannot be taken together, etc. ~ Gretchen
