What to say when meeting friends and co-workers

I feel silly asking this after CJ's post but it is my current

need. We are going to my Wife's class reunion this weekend. I

brought up what do I say when I'm asked what I do for a living. I

feel I should just be honest and truthful. My Wife thinks I should

skate around the question or even state what I did before I was

disabled. I feel no need to do this. She feels it's non of their

business, though I think she may be embarrassed. What do you do in
