As many of you know, I am a senior in high school and I have been applying to colleges so I can study to be a biologist. Well, I have exciting news. I just heard from Randolph-Macon, in Ashland VA. They have accepted me (they think I will be an asset to the school!) and want to offer me a scholarship. I am going to go down in a couple weeks (the weekend before my sister's wedding) with my sister and I am going to interview so they know how much money they are going to give me. This is a school that if I went there they would set an internship up for me at the Washington zoo. > > Liz > > > Remember! Guest guest
I have lived in the Manchester, NH area for my whole life. I think it will be a very large change to live in a different part of the country for a while. It's kinda nervewracking, but exciting too. Thank you very much for you congratulations. I will be going down there again in a week to interview for scholarships. I am also waiting to hear from the University of Kentucky in Lexington to see if I am accepted there. Randolph-Macon and UK are both even on my list. They both have very different pros and cons. It means a lot to me that you guys congratulate me. Now, I just need to pass my darn classes and that Senior Project of mine. I want it to be summer already! I switch feelings alot between wanting to leave and wanting to stay. I will have a car, and possibly a bike, so I am not worried about getting around on campus. My only real worries are being so far away from home and finding a barn that I will fit in well. I have worked hard to get my balance on horses, and I want to keep it, so I will have to find a very good riding instructor and horse.
