Guest guest
You sound like my mom she swore by Slippery Elm, Comfrey root,Goldenseal and zinc to name a few. Her and my Dad have been gone since 1996. Sure do miss them. May G_D bless their souls. Guest guest
Slippery elm bark is a wonderful thing. Great for ulcers too. An old native american cure for abcesses, etc. is a warm mash of a combination of bran, slippery elm bark, lobelia and flax seed....will draw out any abcess withing 48 hours. Forgotten the proportions but have them written down and tucked away in one of my books...... Zinc lozenges have become very well known for their ability to knock out colds. And a zinc ointment (like desitin which is a diaper rash thing) is outstanding for rashed....and an excellent cure for the red raw nose you get when you have a cold and are blowing your nose all the time. Goldenseal needs careful use. There has been some research done on negative side effects from taking too much of it but no proof either way as of this time...but barberry has the same things in it, is completely safe and less expensive.
