Guest guest
So glad you got through the first injection without to many complications - sounds like you are on a roll. About the shortness of breath - my husband had that same problem for about the first two weeks and then it went away mostly. He still has problems now and then catching his breath but nothing like in the beginning. If you read about the Ribivarin it can stay out of the refrigerator but if it gets hot like outside or in the car to long the pills will begin to melt. We had alittle experience with that. I give my husband the injections because of trouble pushing in the plunger also with the pen like you had and needed help. Another thing he has problems with is if he takes the Ribivarin pills right before he eats he has trouble swallowing his food so now he waits until after he eats. Here is a web site with a picture of the injections sites www.hepnet.com/inject.html. My husband also cannot take them in the stomach it does not agree with him but all the other sites listed there he can. It did seem to hit him in the lower back the very first thing after the injection at first but that has gone away now but was a big problem for him at first also - so hopefully some of those things will get better after a few weeks. You may continue to sweat like you are through treatment it never has gone away for my husband yet and that is one of his main problems along with the joint and muscle pain but he has rheumatoid arthritis already so we know why that continues with him and he takes pain pills for that. We found out yesterday from the doctor that with the Porphyria he has that he will have to remain on the Rebetron Kit for another 6 months to a year. He says that it is very rare what he has with the two combined. He will be on it a year this Sept 3rd and was hoping to get off of it. The doctor says it is working well for him so we shall continue the process. Sure glad we got his disibility approved last month. You keep a positive attitude there and keep us all posted. Your in our prayers and continue the good work that you are. Hope you have a wonderful time with your company. Winne
