Hi Tim,

I don't ususally ad to this group as I have no insurance and am not

taking any treatments but I'm now curious....are you taking treatments

or have you already taken them?

The Milk Thistle does calm the liver inflamation. I take it. I was

having severe symptoms for awhile and then it all calmed down once I

started eating right and lost some weight. I've had a relapse as the

stresses of life made me want to drink soda pop again and I gained

weight. I'm taking the Milk Thistle once again and back to eating

right. The inflamation is slowly going down.

By eating right I mean, no processed foods, avoiding sugars, fatty

foods, and most flour. Eating basically fresh fruits, vegetables, and

a small portion of meats. I eat a lot of chicken, fish, and

occasionally beef. I cook my beef rare and have been reading that

eating foods undercooked or raw is actually better for us. It is best

not to eat diet products or drink them as well.

Again though, I want to know if you went through the treatments and

still have an enlarged liver?

Thanks,

Jean

sweets and fat. treatment ended in aug 21 vstill clear.but now 34 waist and

I'm not feeling too well tonight but in response to the weight thing I

do believe there is a definate correlation between weight gain and

liver problems. Many people are now being told they have fatty liver

and one of them is my younger daughter. She started having problems

with bowel function and was gaining a lot of weight. She has always

had the bowel problems but the weight gain was occurring after she

moved away from home. When she went to the doctor they did an

ultrasound and a scan and found her to have fatty liver. She has been

trying to eat better but with a hectic schedule she has a tendency to

eat out too much.

Is it possible that you had a lot of damaged cells and your liver has

grown to replace them? We all know the liver will generate new cells to

compensate for dead ones, and since the dead cells are scar tissue they

aren't going away. So I'm wondering if you have all the scarred tissue

and now new tissue on top of that as well.

I don't know if that makes sense or if it even works out that

way...just a suggestion. :)

Doc didn't have any clues about the unusual size??

As long as it's working well...
