Dear Claudine,

I completely agree with you. Cesarean's are VERY dangerous to both Mother

and baby. The chances of passing on HCV to your child during normal

childbirth is next to nil. The more likely transmission would be through

body fluids. The last articles that I read on that subject basically negated

it. Thanks for the article and your comments. I have passed it on to our

OBGYN staff at the Naval Hospital. That will at least get this into the

system. Probably won't change anything, but at least, we tried. Anne

No, I don't think it will change a thing! I just hope

it doesn't make things worse, LOL! I had my run-in

with the head of obstetrics at Wilford-Hall Medical

Center at Lackland AFB (long time ago - 15 years?).

According to him midwives 1) don't know anything,

2)have dirty hands, 3) deliver babies in dark rooms

and then 4) dunk them in water. LOL! The only way he

would have considered making changes is if a midwife

said NOT to change it! :)

Dear Claudine, Well maybe we should try that tactic.....Whatever works. You

would think a basic course in anatomy would give these guys a hint. Anne
