Guest guest
Hi - What I wear are actually called Ankle-Foot- Orthosis (AFOs) and are prescribed by my podiatrist upon recommendation of my neurologist and actually created for me by an orthotist. A rather long process, but necessary for insurance to pick up the tab! They come in two types - hinged or unhinged. Mine are hinged and that makes it easier to walk and drive. Also, because they are created by a specialist they are designed for my trouble spots, namely my overly week ankles.
