Guest guest
- I thought I would have a problem with my AFOs because I have always been very conscious of my appearance (working in a law firm will do that) but when I got my first pair of AFOs I tried to hide them. I bought real wide pants and after about three days decided they were just not me! Now nobody will get me out of my straight leg jeans and thin legged pants. They have come a long way and with the new molded ones, you can do many different things. They can make them different colors (I thought of hot pink with bright purple and silver racing stripes, but that was kind of loud for the office). I am trying different types of paint on my first pair and am still trying decide if I am going to paint flowers, a scene or just abstract designs. As far as what others think, if you are confident in the way you look nobody notices the braces. I have had people actually tell me that they never noticed I wore them (and that was with them over black jeans!) because of the way I carry myself. Without my braces people notice the way I walk and the fact that I fall all over the place, with my braces they see a woman who walks with confidence even over uneven ground. Sorry - did not mean to get up on my " soap box " , I hope my thoughts help. CraftyLin.
