Guest guest
There's some points here, but there's also more to it. There are a lot of white kids who are the same way. They are good at sports and think they are NBA or NFL material, no way they won't make it. So all they do is party through school. Eventually it catches up with 99.9% of them. They don't make the cut and they don't have an education worth anything. Of course, the scouts, recruiters and even the schools don't tell them the chances of making it big time are almost nil. They'd have better odds of getting hit by lightening on top of a tall building while wearing a steel helmet. Out of all the hopefuls from my old high school, maybe 1 every other year makes it pro, and that's a very high percentage. See what's free at AOL.com. Guest guest
My dad was a star pitcher on his baseball team in college. However, he told me that practise in those days consisted of a warm up jog, throwing the ball around, and hitting. He is amazed at all the work kids have to do now days to stay in shape and become an athlete. In the " old days " you went out for the team and you were picked. He was on the soccer team then too, and they had enough people to make a team. If someone got sick, they just played with one less player. The mistake parents make even now is assuming that their kids can be a " star " player the same way. So they encourage kids and make them believe that they have what it takes, when in fact, they never had it to begin with. Tom Administrator There's some points here, but there's also more to it.
