Guest guest
, While I do not experience hearing loss, as Moderator of this group, may I suggest the following? 1). Check our 'bookmarks' (links) for any information - off hand since there are hundreds of links there I cannot remember exactly what is there, 2) Search through the past years archives, using the topic " hearing loss " or " hearing " . We have had many discussions before and our archives will offer you a plethora of posts and perhaps some people to contact. 3) Thirdly, check to see if cmtnews.com is up and running, as IF there were past articles on hearing, you might be able to find them. 4) Contact the CMTA office directly - inquire about their newsletter back issues on the topic also. 5) There was an (still is, not sure) a hearing and CMT study going on in the East, I believe. This is notated in the archives, and the CMTA most likely will know if this is still curent. Using dogpile.com as a search engine, you might be able to find the study yourself, or at least contact info. 6). Check in the bookmarks(links) under the types (53) description of CMT. Type 4 posssibly may be the one I remember to be associated with hearing loss. Hope this gives you some direction in pursuing your CMT and Hearing question. Also, if you hearing loss is temporary, medications CAN sometimes do this, if you are allergic. Now THAT part IS my experience. Perhaps a good ENT can help too. ~ Gretchen
