Dear Jan, We weep with you for your loss. Your words are a good reminder that every day with our loved ones is a gift to be cherished and used fully.May your spirit be lifted by the good memories of a life lived well.+From: Doug Parsons <dparsons5@...>Subject: Sad news Date: Monday, October 6, 2008, 2:57 PM

Dear friends,

This is Doug's wife at the keyboard, writing with the sad news that Doug, 65, passed away on August 15 at Mass General Hospital in Boston. The cause of death was heart failure. As some of you know, Doug had been an active participant in Zaplife, both through Chat and through e-mail, in the late 90's and to a lesser extent in more recent years.

Doug received his first ICD in 1998, and we've both been so grateful through the years for all the support, information, and laughs shared through Zaplife. Huge thanks to Jon Duffey, whom we had the pleasure of meeting in 2002, for all he has done for ICD patients and their families.

Though our hearts are heavy, they're also grateful for the wonderful care Doug had at Mass General and for all the kindness & support of family and friends.

Wishing you all the best.....

Just a short note to inform the group that fishinggal2008(Patti) passed away

July 4th.  Hep-C, was not the cause.  After suffering with the disease for over

30 years, it was stomach cancer that did her in. She died quietly in a Hospice

House here in Florida..We will monitor her web-site for a couple of days then

shut it down,,,Thank You to all the friends she had on this site...
