Guest guest
I am looking forward to reading uplifting messages and be encouraged, as well as the opportunity to be encouraging, my name is Judith, I am 46, soon to be 47, and I have always walked funny as far as my parents know and of course all the kids I went to school and played with lol, I was diagnosed with cmt approximately 22 years ago, I think now? I have only been wearing, afo's since about 1990, I like my afo's, they have relieved me of the stress of having to watch every step I take and assist the picking up of my feet tremendously, which until I wore my afo's, I did not realize how much stress and energy walking or even attempting to run playing sports consumed my physical being. I also have a sleep disorder, and was diagnosed with it just a couple years ago, I pretty much have evidently had the sleeping disorder since I was child also. My c-pap machine has been marvelous and I have had very little struggle with keeping awake, particularly while driving since I started using it. (besides I like it it sounds like the ocean in my ears and I love the water especially swimming and diving). Even with my cmt and sleep disorder I am very active and enjoy being busy with all my activities, both the musical and athletic endeavors I pursue. I always enjoy trying new things to do, including I would like to learn more about ballet dancing and try to do more of it. I also like science very much and I always have, even studying and researching at home on my own about cmt, etc,. I particularly enjoy earth and oceanographic sciences and as social as I enjoy being, I also enjoy hanging out at home, the university, or even the library very contentedly reading Scientific American, National Geographic, Discover, etc., and can spend hours reading scientific/medical and techno/industrial stuff of all sorts on the computer. I have a great sense of humor and I am a hopeless human potentialist most of the time. I absolutely enjoy life and meeting new people in person and online, and I enjoy being a listener, usually more than being a talker. I have learned already from reading some of the messages posted and look forward to meeting and sharing more with the group. I hope everyone has embraced a peaceful, painless, and joyful day today!
