" The combination of painful feet

and long hours of work can be distructive to the

nervous system. "

Thank you, E, for putting this simple sentence

into writing! I believe long hours and extreme

stress at work exascerbated my CMT, and so does my

orthopedic surgeon. However, recently I visited a

neurologist to see what he may provide in treating

nerve pain and muscle twitching. After telling him

my story, he commented that he has never seen anything

that would indicate that stress and long work hours cause

CMT to get worse. I just wanted to scream, " Well here

I am! So now you've seen it, Buddy! " But I didn't.

I took the prescription for Neurontin to the pharmacy,

telling myself that it was the only thing my

friends speak of that I haven't tried, so the visit

was a success, if even rather disappointing. Good drs

who know about CMT are hard to find.

Good day to all!

Joyce
