Hi Kerry,

I am not aware of actual 'testing' for foot tendons, but a wise

orthopedist could tell by the way I walked I needed surgery (left foot

rolled out to the left, right foot rolled in - also to the left). Yes,

now I believe there are 6 or 8 types of CMT that can be determined from

a blood test (DNA) I know this testing is done in other countries, but

all I have is 1 U.S. lab http://www.athenadiagnostics.com maybe they can

give you other testing sites and specific information. Brace yourself,

here in the US it is very expensive. Simple - Sure. Just $$$!!! If you

have not been diagnosed, try that first,it is the least invasive. The

EMG/NCV testing is also a way to test for CMT, but can/does hurt. As for

your feet - perhaps a try at orthotics or Ankle Foot Orthotics from a

pedorthotist might keep surgery away. When I had surgery, surgery was

considered the 'answer'. While it certainly can help, get several

opinions and give yourself plenty of time to think it through. Hope this

helps.
