Guest guest
When I was pregnant with my second, I had to use the county hospital. Care was good, but one doc and I had a loud disagreement in the clinic. I was 23 and having my second C section. I asked for the paperwork to permit a tubal ligation, as I was getting divorced and didn't want to risk getting pregnant again (they said 3 was the limit on this C section). This young " punk " (to put it nicely) told me I was too young to make such a decision and he wouldn't give me the papers. A doctor across the room came over and handed me the paperwork I needed and so he became my ob/gyn. It takes guts and persistence to get the right treatment and info at tax funded hospitals. Keep up the fight Tat. Alley

It is a tricyclic antidepressant that works by inducing a deep stage 4 sleep.>> I used that too and it really made a big difference in how I felt. I got better sleep and altho not " cured " of the fibro, it really helped my mental/emotional outlook and I wasn't quite so tired. Now I take Doxipin at nite to sleep for the itching. Guest guest
Tat, Sorry I'm late in replying. All those symptoms I had too about 14 years ago when I first discovered I had hcv (and a few years prior), even the bowel problems. I hope you get good help for your symptoms. They are very real and a lot of heppers have them. I wish I could take you with me to Holland. Would you resend your land address to me please? (and anyone else who wants a postcard from Holland). Big hugs to you Tat. I've been there, 25 years ago, doing the free clinic stuff. I hope I never have to do it again. Alley

Guest guest
Yes, at this point in time my life is very difficult...but I am not alone and others have problems much worse than mine. For instance the homeless people who are out in our sub zero weather....or the people who are going through a terrible time on tx....or the abused children in the world, etc. I do try to keep it in perspective. And as to turning work in....I think I have a lot of things I could take to the labor board. Some of them are just she said/she said things which don't carry any weight at all...but there are other illegal things going on there. But what would that get me? Unemployed again. And I've learned a valuable lesson on this job...I've learned to not put my hands around someone's throat and squeeze the life out of them when that is exactly what they deserve. <g> If I trick on them, I get fired....if they get shut down, I have no job. So I take it which is very hard for me because I'm not that type of person and end up crying because I'm so frustrated that I can't give it back to her. And I keep reminding myself that what goes around comes around. What I am experiencing at this time in my life, is nothing to what folks having a tough time on tx are experiencing. Or the fear that people who are newly diagnosed are experiencing. Re: Problems I'm experiencing--long Tat Sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time. Mine is Nothing compared to yours. Guest guest
Tatezi, I have a suggestion on your sleeping problem and depression, also a question. I've had hep since 1988, last year I started peg-intron and ribavirin. I had to quit when my WBC went to 1.2. Immediately I got mono, now I have chronic Epstien-Barr and an acute unactive thyroid (although from Sept to Nov I lost 27 lbs). Did you have thyroid problems before? For the depression and inability to sleep, my doctor prescribed Trazadone. It has worked really well for me, I hope maybe it will work for you too. D.
