Welcome to the group. I am not aware of alternatives, but I have 4

levels fused in my lower back and 2 in my neck. My lower back

started out as 2 levels fused, then 3, then finally 4. I would be

very reluctant to have 5 done all at once. That will put much stress

on the rest of your spine. I hope someone else has a better answer

for you, Dave
