Guest guest
Hello! This is Reema Bansal, 15, from India. My brother and I were diagnosed with CMT around 6 yrs back. What a shock it was for my parents! I don’t really have much regrets, not at present at least. CMT is so ‘funny’ at times! e.g. At the dining table, if someone asks me to pour him some water, the way I handle the bottle and glasses presents quite a comedy! Sometimes I can’t help thinking of CMT as ‘an unCommon Mysterious Truth’!! I got operated on my feet when I was in kindergarten. Those doctors fiddled with my feet bones! That operation further worsened my condition and now I am unable to stand stable at a place or walk comfortably at all. My feet twist inwards whenever they feel like and the next moment I am flat on the ground! But kudos to my family and ever supporting friends, for never have I felt the need to pity myself. My scoliosis started appearing around six months back. And now, often, my ears also betray me! You all must be aware of all this stuff, of course! I love sketching, painting, smiling, laughing, giggling, music, nature and reading. And let me tell you that I dance wonderfully if I do it with support!! I guess that was enough for the first time! Before I end my first mail, let me say--- “ WE CAN DO IT”!! Smile please………click! Aren’t we CMT people a wonderful and amazing lot!?
