Guest guest
Hello Mamie and welcome to . You are very fortunate to have found this doctor in Denver because it's obvious he knows what he's talking about and also he has your very best interests at heart. I can appreciate how you feel about such a transition from not wearing AFO's to wearing them but you did ask for realistic feedback. If you don't wear them you will cause your body irreparable damage and totally unnecessary agony. I'm speaking from experience you see I was never given the chance to wear AFO's although it was obvious right from when I started walking that I needed them. (Something to do with the doctors in the UK living in the middle ages and being totally blind.) And as a result I was faced at the age of 38 with a life changing situation one though that I had no choice - I had to go into a wheelchair. So please my love get that perscription filled in and to hell with what others think. Vanity is cold comfort when you're stuck in a wheelchair. Love and hugs Sue The important thing is never to stop questioning.
