Guest guest
I suffer type 2 diabetes plus RA and OA. Just lately my pain levels have soared - totally awful, cannot sleep more than a couple of hours, pain in knees, feet neck, shoulders, hips and hands. Seeing Rheumatologist on 23rd March but have noticed that my glucose levels are very up and down. Can anyone tell me if the pain affects the glucose levels, I am wondering if the stress levels and exhaustion I am feeling are the cause of my high sugar readings ? Guest guest
Hi Lynda, I also have type 2 diabetes. I don't think that the pain itself causes your sugar to soar, but I know that I had to go off prednisone because my sugar levels were staying between 500 and 600. My rheumy told me that prednisone was causing it to be so high. Now that I am off of it, the highest my sugar runs(with meds) is around 280. Hope this helps.
