Guest guest
I get my humira via UPS. It comes very well packed with blue ice. It comes in a protective styrofoam case which is packed in a box. I have been getting it that way since summer and I've never had a problem. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Yes, I receive my Humira in three months supply by mail order pharmacy. They ship it overnight by Fed Ex carefully packed in a styrofoam cooler with freezer packs inside. It is still always cool when received, even during summer shipments (in VA and gets really hot some days). Does anyone get their Humira via mail? If so, how does it work - is there a problem with the refrigeration? We wouldn't mind driving 50 miles once a month to pick it up... but if others get their's OK by mail, then that would be easier.Thank you,Don & Eileen Cheap Talk? Guest guest
Can you have it delivered to a neighbor or to your workplace? Good Luck. Guest guest
I take Remicade. I gets delivered every 6 weeks to my office via my insurance. I would be wary of getting it through the mail, if your mail is as unpredictable as mine is! Guest guest
My Enbrel comes thru mail order but it is delivered via a currier. I can't remember which one. It comes in a box with special ice packs and You can require a signature. Ask if you can request to be on the end of the route or if it can be delivered after a certain time. They pack it pretty good in styrofoam so it should be ok for a little while. Vicki in MN I take Remicade. I gets delivered every 6 weeks to my office via my insurance. Guest guest
hi, Don! I use Enbrel. It is shipped via FedEx from Florida to my home in western New York state. The meds. are in a styrofoam cooler, with ice packs *plastic squares that are filled with some kind of liquid. I get home from work and the box is sitting on my front steps. I have never had a problem, and it has been almost two years that I have been receiving these monthly shipments. Would you be able to receive the package at your workplace? gentle hugs! Guest guest
Hi! I live in Florida and use humira. It is shipped by UPS in a styrofoam cooler with 2 ice packs from Philly. I've not had any problems. It's sent over night and the weather is pretty warm in Florida. Ice packs are still really cold... Never had any melt yet *knocks on wood*. Mine used to come from Orlando (20 minutes away) until insurance decided they wanted me to get it from Philly. I was nervous with it coming from that far to here but like I said, so far it's been ok. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 4RATalk.com / 4HockeyFans.com / 4FloridaHockey.com -----Original Message-----From: Rheumatoid Arthritis [mailto:Rheumatoid Arthritis ]On Behalf Of Marcia StoyleSent: Wednesday, January 03, 2007 3:53 AMRheumatoid Arthritis Subject: Re: Humira by mail order --- Donk <d.knieriemverizon (DOT) net> wrote:> Hi - our insurance company is changing its rules.> Now we will have to get my wife's Humira either by driving 25 miles,> or > by mail order.> Humira requires refrigeration, and we both work, so no one will be> home > during the day to receive the shipment. I get a one month supply at a time, shipped by Fed Ex. It's shipped overnight, and packaged in styrofoam with ice packs. The mail order company ships the Enbrel to my work address. So far, I haven't had any problems with the delivery or packaging. Good luck! dordale
Guest guest
As everyone has said - it's packed and shipped very well. My insurance company always calls me to schedule the delivery so if I know I'm not going to go right home after work, I can tell them not to deliver that day. susanOn 1/2/07, Donk <d.knieriem@...> wrote: Hi - our insurance company is changing its rules.
