Guest guest
Dear Diane, You wrote: I'm not >sure what the disadvantages to this gamble would be.....unless there's >evidence that if I were to relapse, the virus would come back with a >vengeance....If that were a possibility, then I wouldn't want to take the >gamble....So hard to decide! Thanks, Diane I honestly have never heard anything on this, but I will let you know my personal experience. I'm a non-responder, so it may mean even less in your situation. My PRE-TREATMENT viral load was 110,000. My END OF TREATMENT viral load was 50,000. My one year after treatment viral load: 440,000. (5 weeks prior to that test is was 800,000. I prefer to believe the second test.) I would say my virus' decided to multiply with a vengeance!! I have to admit though that in your situation it would really be so tempting to quit, even without the fungus problem. Good luck on making your decision. Guest guest
Thanks, Claudine, boy this sure is an " individual " situation, isn't it??? Since my viral load was already undetectable at 3 months of treatment (down from around 2 mil), I'm thinking I should quit at 24 weeks....I'll know when I need to know. Thanks, and you take care too, Diane

Guest guest
Diane..I was on combo last time..and my 3 month viral load was undetectable, but one month after 48 weeks..it was up again. So be careful when deciding to stop at 24 weeks...I went the distance, and am now doing it all over for the second time...good luck.
