Interesting that the patent holder, Offit, agrees that the vaccine and natural course of the disease can cause damage. "In a news release, notes that vaccination may not actually increase intussusception risk, because it now appears that natural rotavirus infection can also cause the bowel obstruction." Dr. Offit agrees. He agrees that his vaccine causes as much damage as the natural disease that it is designed to prevent. Un - believable! If this is preventive medicine, I will take my chances with disease. ~ Maureen R. The people invested in these vaccines & the FDA will say anything it seems to protect their money flow. These rotavirus vaccines are the same ones that were discovered to contain porcine virus...which is *supposedly harmless*.....harmless only because they haven't studied what this pig virus will do to children when injected into their central nervous system. Probably just as *harmless* as sv40 was in the polio vaccine! These monsters should be rounded up & injected themselves. .......It’s still unclear how the virus DNA got into the vaccines, both of which are given by mouth. Porcine circovirus 1, or PCV-1, was found in both Rotarix and RotaTeq, and PCV-2 was also detected in RotaTeq. In March, the FDA said testing showed PCV-1 had been in Rotarix since early in the vaccine’s development. As before, the FDA says there’s no evidence that any of this poses a health or safety risk. Neither virus causes human illness; in March GSK said PCV-1 is found in meat products and doesn’t produce illness when it’s eaten. PCV-2, however, can make pigs sick — to be specific, it’s associated with a type of wasting disease in piglets and tamps down immune response.Sent from my iPhoneOn Jun 17, 2011, at 2:20 PM, maureen gradvohl <mrsvoltaire@...> wrote:

"vaccination may not actually increase intussusception risk, because it now appears that natural rotavirus infection can also cause the bowel obstruction."

Statements like this are absolute nonsense. Unvaccinated children who do not have rotavirus can't get bowel obstruction from it. So, there is no valid comparison to those who take on an immediate risk from the vaccine.

And "risk" is not the same as "cases" of anyway (not to mention "may" and "appears" are not substitutes for "will" or "is").
