Deborah, I thank you for your comments. Yes, I have a full plate

right now. My job is secretary at a city high school. We are

self-insured, and I cannot receive the standard short-term disability

payments that are available to most people. I have earned only seven

weeks of sick time. I used up all my benefits with my prior two hip

replacement surgeries. That means I have to resign, and would be

without any income after seven weeks. As my marriage is over, I have

no one to support me financially. If approval of SSDI is not

immediate, I will be living on the curb. My rheumy does not feel

chiropratic referral would work for me. She did give me the business

card for an acupuncture specialist. I will try that route first.

thanks again, Marcia

Dear Marcia,

I am so sorry to hear of all your problems. I was fortunate enough to have LTD at my job. But if it's any consolation, it only took me 5 or 6 months to get my SSDI. I did go through an attorney and it went so much faster.

I will put you on my prayer list if you don't mind, and hopefully things will start to get better.

Hugs from Ok., Gloria
