Guest guest
Must be the norm. I am always apologizing to my husband these days because I never have any energy to get out and do things with him. I think alot of it has to do with the seasons changing right now and Ok. is brutal because the weather changes so much. I have had more pain this past month than I ever have. I can't take my humira shots right now because I am having one sinus infection after the other. My rheumy called the other day and is getting me in to see an allergist asap. I go next Wed. Guest guest
Hi everyone, This is Steph in VA. I agree with the concentration & memory problems. Sometimes I walk into my boss' office & forget why I came in. He jokes that I'm too young. I tell him it is my meds ("I blame it on the drugs.") I blame the meds when I bang into walls and doors, but I did that before my RA too. Sometimes you just have to laugh In other news, I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth extracted today. However after the doctor numbed my mouth, he decided my mouth was too small. (after he had a consultation a month ago). So he referred me to another surgeon who has scheduled me for emergency surgery tomorrow at 9:30am. (along with the emergency surgery price tag) since my 2 of the teeth have abcessed (sp?) Take care, Steph in VADeborah Bargad <dbargad@...> wrote: Dear - You are not alone. It is very common. I can concentrate okay but only if I am not distracted. Guest guest
I always assumed this aspect was just how I was born...never thought of it as part of the RA! I've had RA since I was about 10....my family and friends (and especially husband) have always seen me as forgetful and absentminded. Most of the time I can laugh it off but sometimes it's really embarassing. I'm in graduate school now and have trouble remembering things quite often. What works for me is repetition and lists...if there is something important I need to keep in my head, I write it down and refer to it often. It's time- consuming but can become part of your daily routine easily. (I've been doing it for the last 10 years and it's habit now!) Good luck...sometimes just slogging through and keeping your momentum helps too! Jill > > > > > > I have ra and have very little energy. Does anyone have trouble with > concentration and memory?
