Guest guest
Hello, My name is Sherry and I just found out I have rheumatoid arthritis. I have been in so much pain for the last 7 years, went to doctor after doctor, they all just would tell me I was just getting to that age, I was only 40, in my mind I was still young. My family just thought I was a cry baby, they didn't believe and my doctors didn't seem to either. I finally found a female doctor who took me to heart, sent me for test and found the problem. I thank God every day for her caring heart and her knowledge. Now that I know I am not crazy and I know the pain isn't all in my head, I can now focus on what I need to do next. Learn as much as I can and work on getting better. Any thing you all can tell me would help.
Guest guest
Start at www.arthritisfoundation.org. Read up on the disease. Find a local support chapter office in your area and get to a meeting if there is one. Advocate for yourself and ask questions. Learn about your disease and the constructive ways to manage it. There are now biologics which are a great help and slow disease progression or stop it altogether. You are NOT crazy and we are all here to support you.
