Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all of you who so kindly replied to my post. My Rheumy took

me off of MTX today. She said I am apparently very sensitive to the

drug (been back on it 3 weeks). She also said that from xrays recently

taken for the study I was in (TEAR Study) that in the past 2 years of

films being taken, there are no appreciable RA changes to my joints--

just lots of degenerative/osteo changes. All of the specialists who

reviewed by xrays feel that my RA is under control. I am very very

fortunate. Now, I just hope it stays that way.

I asked her about the swelling in my fingers/toes. She said osteo

causes that too and that I need to stop being so stoic and take

Ibuprofen 8oomg 3x daily, with food and Prilosec. I am going to try

this approach.
