Guest guest
You might try neurontin, tramodol, ibuprofen 800mg,naltrexone or prednisone in a very very low dose. Always take these with food unless otherwise instructed. I myself am allergic to opiates. Addressing the cause of the pain helps too, lower the inflammation and retard the disease or interfere with the inflammation process. Along with Remicade I take a low dose prednisone, plaquenil and ibuprofen. At night I take oxazepam, and soma for sleep and fibromyalgia. Good Luck. I have an appt tomorrow and am going to see if she'll change it to something else (I can't do vicodin because of stomach issues) but I really would like to find something that helps with the pain. Guest guest
, My GP gave me samples of Ultram for a differnt problem, but they do seem to help. It is a once a day pill. I will ask my rheummy if this is something that she will prescribe for me. It is non-narcotic which pleases me. Like Deborah, I can not take the stonger meds. Until now my rheummy has not given me anything for pain except small doses of prednisone to help with the inflammation. I take the Ultram and Lexapro for depession at night with food. I still only get 4-5 hours sleep before I have to get up and move but I seem to be resting better. Shirley
Guest guest
thanks for the input. My dr is going to try the Ultram ER along with Celebrex for a few days (she gave me some samples) to see if that works. She didn't offer any other options so if that doesn't address it, I'll put all my hope on the remicade helping with the pain also. > > > Hi all, > > > > I am wondering what people are taking for the pain. Guest guest
Can't wait for some REAL treatment:-( But until then I am on Opana and Percocet. Opana is a biggie. I am still in pain, but w/o them...well I won't go there. Next appointment with new (2nd opinion) Rheum. is the end of the month! > > Hi all, > > I am wondering what people are taking for the pain.
