Guest guest
Shirley, You poor girl, I'm sorry your having headaches. Do you usually take the Enbrel and Mtx together? The Imdur med might be the cause of the headaches. The nausea is problably from the mtx. I don't take my mtx until I hit the bed. I don't take both meds on the same day. You do go to the ER, if your still feeling bad. Your in my prayers, hope you start feeling better soon, Tawny > > Group, > I have just been through a horrible night and day. Guest guest
Shirley, Just a thought. Migraines cause nausea and sensitivity to light, among other things. When I used to have them, mine were one-sided, most of the time on the left side. Noise bothered me, too. I felt like crawling down into a hole where it was dark and quiet. I hope it's not a migraine. Sue On Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 06:41 PM, nana2livi wrote: > Group, > I have just been through a horrible night and day. It seems to be a > little better now. Guest guest
Hi- I am sorry you are in such pain. I think the heart med might be causing your headaches although I myself get terrible migraines that last into the night. If I have them during the day, I just sleep until they go away. A really deep sleep would probably help but the heart med might be affecting the blood flow to the brain causing the pain you are feeling. Try a heating pad on your neck. Definately go to the ER if not better. Deborah On Sat, Sep 20, 2008 at 7:27 PM, nana2livi <s.p5315@...> wrote: Group, I have just been through a horrible night and day. Guest guest
Shirley I have similar headaches, i used to get them and not understand what they were all i knew was they built up all day until so bad i HAD to go to bed, and even then i sometimes couldnt get relief. My GP told me they were from the inflammation in my neck and shoulders, this year it all hit a peak when my neck muscles went into spasm now a rough day with my neck means the headache will come at some point in that day. The things i do ease it are - lie down with a wet flannel over my eyes, or i have the eye masks you can keep in the fridge and these help too, take painkillers which dont always help cause if i wait until its at its peak they dont even take the edge off, do neck exercises throughout the day and now my neck is a little better i go swimming to try and build my muscles up again, i do attend hydrotherapy also and i have a soft collar that i only wear in bed at night, also on friday i had acupuncture for the first time and the relief was amazing!! I hope something from here helps you but i guess we all know that its different for everybody! Take Care Sharon xx [ ] Enbrel or Imdur causing headaches? Guest guest
Tawny and Sue, From what I know about Magraines this must have been a drug induced one. It definitely was the Imdur. I did not take it last night and thank God, I slept. I feel like a different person today. I have my usual headache but no way the same thing. Thanks, Shirley > > Shirley, > > Just a thought. Guest guest
Aw, Shirley, I am so sorry you are in such pain. I pray the headache eases up and you are feeling better soon. I Googled both Enbrel and Imdur and it seems they both can cause headaches. Perhaps its the combination of both of them that is causing it in you. Please keep us posted. OH! Before I forget, I put your name on the sign up sheet for that " reset button " right under mine. They said they'll let us know *lol*. Guest guest
Doreen, Thanks, Hon. I am back to my normal headache now. I thought it was a problem, I am just happy to have it. So far all of the heart meds that I have tried caused adverse reactions. I see the cardiologist again Tuesday and will ask what happens if I take nothing. Which is where I am now. I hope they get to our names soon! Shirley > > Aw, Shirley, I am so sorry you are in such pain. I pray the headache > eases up and you are feeling better soon. Guest guest
Sharon, Thanks. As you could tell, this was my first and I pray my last. I truly believe that it was drug induced. The worse pain lasted for 14hrs and then it was down to a really bad throbbing headache for about 12 more hours. I was contemplating calling my neuro-surgeon. I figured anything that bad for that long was something major. I am happy to say, once again I was wrong. Thank you for the suggestions and I will save this email, just in case. Guest guest
Group; WHAT RESET BUTTION? AND WHAT FOR?? HOW DO I PUT MY NAME ON THE RESET BUTTION I LOOKDED FOR IT EVERYWHERE. I am so sorry everyone has such aweful headaches. I get them all the time. I been getting them since I was 22. I am 54 now. I have been trying to figure out what from. I get little sparkless in my eyes with the worse headaches. I also get a form of tunnel vision with the severe headaches. I do like everyone else with my headaches. Lie down, put a hot compress on my neck. Put a cool compress on my forhead. Darken the room. These things help a lot. I didnt takes meds when I started out with massive headaches. These headaches has been the same for 34 years. Maybe our government should stop all this space travel and work on our health problems. I know the satelites are important, but walking on the moon occomplished nothing. That is only my opinion. gentle hugs Clora > hi shirley, i too get massive headaches. i take alot of meds so i would not know if it's one of them or not. as a matter of fact i had one TODAY!!!! i had to lie down for like 3 hours or so cuz it was horrific.. i told my hub & daughter to please try to keep the noise level to a > medium. i take AXZERT it works really well for me. maybe u should ask your dr. about it.. i hope u feel better soon. god bless, melyndagamez 9/21/08 > > > > [ ] Re: Enbrel or Imdur causing headaches? > > Aw, Shirley, I am so sorry you are in such pain. Guest guest
Melynda, Thanks, Sweetie. I am much better. I plan on calling my rheummy tomorrow and I see the cardiologist again on Tuesday. I am up waiting to hear from my daughter. She had to take my granddaughter (13yrs old) to the ER. She is having servere stomach pains. It's not her abdomin, so I don't think it is a female thing. I am glad that I am feeling better so that I could be compassionate and nurturing with her. Guest guest
Shirley, Just a few days ago I was questioning the group if anyone had migraines while taking Humera. I started on humera and every day I was having a severe headache. I have migranes all the time, but never this often or severe. I may be your arthritis med in stead of what your cardiologist prescribes. I have been off humera for four weeks and I am not having the headaches now. Guest guest
Jo Nell, Thanks for the input. I have never had a migraine before, but I will call my rheummy's ofc tomorrow just to be on the safe side. I haven't a clue as to what started my daily headaches, they were with me before I started Enbrel. That is why I kind of think they may be from my heart, but I am no doctor. I should have learned by now that self diagosing isn't good. Shirley

Guest guest
Hi Clora - Shirley and I were goofing around about a proverbial " reset " button to put our immune systems back to their proper state. Then told us about two treatments - rituximab and stem cell transplantation - that are being used in an attempt to reset the immune system. So, there really is no " list " or " button " , but please feel free to talk to your Rheumy about the two treatments listed above to see if one or the other might be a possibility for you.
