Guest guest
I had spinal fusion surgery on 3/27. tomorrow I have an appointment with my surgeon. I need a bone-growth stimulator, I am told. It appears to be a wide belt/back brace with what looks like a small frisbee centered. It is to be worn over my spine, exactly over the 9 inch incision from my six (6) hour surgery. The secretary tells me that my major medical insurance pays only 50% of the cost, as this is classified as durable medical equipment. my co-pay is $1,500.00 *** holey moses!
