Guest guest
Dear Group, I am a firm believer in reading the local daily newspaper. Doing so, has served me well over the last 30 some years. You get all the headlines on the radio and in the first few minutes of a TV News broadcast. If you watch the whole TV news, you'll find the odd little trinket of info. But in a newspaper, there's so much more. They have to fill the pages, so there are a bunch of good little articles every day. The last seven days of reading my local paper have given me these little tidbits. There was an article about " depression " in men and how it can lead to suicide. It was focussed on the local crisis and suicide center's programs. But then there was a little article about 's father abruptly quitting his Prozac and killing himself a few weeks later. So, the reporter and his editor have been getting emails from me on a daily basis about the wonders of these drugs. Maybe there'll be a story on the weekend about our side. Thank you Dawn, for that email on the Canadian Paxil lawsuit. It was forwarded. Did you know that Dr. Healy has settled his $10 million lawsuit with the University of Toronto? He gets to be a part time professor there in return for dropping the lawsuit. I hope they didn't buy his silence. There was an article on the rapidly rising cost of drugs and how it affects seniors on fixed incomes. And an article about how drugs are approved by the FDA and later pulled off the market because of " unforseen " side effects. And another article about how electric shock therapy is making a comeback. A female corporal in our army was sentenced to one year in jail for trying to commit suicide. She was waving a gun around, taking potshots at the military police, hoping they would kill her. Wanna bet drugs were involved in that? On the lighter side... only 5% of millionaires think they're wealthy. 10% think that they're struggling to make ends meet. It's all relative, I guess. So please try and take a look at your local newspaper. There's lots of info in them that you'll never find on the net. Guest guest
WOW !!! That's a powerful article, thank you !!! I had no idea about Murdoch being on the Glaxo board or that info about Nigel ' brother. What an absolute corrupt world we live in. I was already on the side of Wakefield as I've been against mercury filled vaccines for as long as I can remember but this is quite an eye opener which I shall forward on. Jackie x " Did you know that Rupert Murdoch's son Murdoch, who manages the UK paper Sunday Times, is on the board of GSK? Or how about Sir Nigel , the High Court judge that denied parents of children treated by Dr. Wakefield the right to have their claims against vaccine manufacturers heard in a real court? ' brother, who is an executive board member of Elsevier, the group that publishes the Lancet, is also on the board of GSK.
