I'm having that problem right now. I go to bed about 5:00 in the

morning, sleep awhile. I am just very depressed right now, I usually

stay in my pj's all the time now. No energy, just pain and

depression, and winter's not even here yet, hugs Tawny

I would be in my pj's all the time if I didn't have to work. It's a struggle

for sure but I guess that's what keeps me going. I also like to stay up late,

even when I'm tired, and sleep all day.

Becky,....I'm sure it's a struggle for you to go to work. I don't

know what I would do right now, if I had to depend on myself. I have

always been so independent in my life, and it's a struggle to just be

here, know what I mean? I'm grateful that I don't have to work right

now, and can stay in my pj's. You take care of yourself, Tawny

Hi Tawny. I'm sorry you're feeling so lousy. I read what you wrote

earlier about the humidity in OK making you feel worse in the summer

than in the winter, and I have the same problem. (We're neighbors,

remember, I'm in the Dallas area and the humidity is a lot worse

here in summer than winter.) Hopefully, we'll get an early fall

this year and you'll start feeling better. Also, I wanted to tell

you...If I didn't have to get up and go to work, I'd probably be

sitting around in PJs, too. BUT, I know from past experience that's

not always the best idea. I was unemployed one time for about six

months, and I got to the point that getting dressed each day seemed

like such a chore. But I found that NOT getting dressed each day

was actually contributing to my depression. There's something about

trying to look the best you can (without overdoing it, of course) --

even when you don't HAVE to get up and get dressed for work-- that

really helps lift your spirits. I know how tough it is even lifting

your arms to get them through the sleeves sometimes, but try not to

let yourself get in too much of a rut or it will really drag you

down.

Take care,

Hi , You are right, maybe I should try to get out of my pj's.

I will try tomorrow:) Yes, it's been quite bad this summer, which is

kind of down, when your wanting to do so much.

My daughter is coming over tomorrow, and doing my laundry so that is

good, I can't use my hands very well right now.

Thanks so much for your words, hugs T

Everyday I wish I could just not have to work, especially in the mornings when I

have a hard time moving. Once I'm up and about it gets easier. I've hired an

assistant to come in the mornings now and take over. She will work from 7:30 to

11:30 so that will give me a much needed rest. The only time I've not worked in

my life was when my twins were born. I had a year off. Beyond that I've worked

full time since I was 15 and I'm almost 48. I'm so tired.

Thank you. By 11:30 it's almost naptime for the kids. I make lunch, then they

go to bed for 2-3 hours. I can lay on the futon next to their cots and rest.

My kids will be home by 3:00 to help me so it will be much easier for me then.

I have truly been sent an angel as my assistant. I still can't believe I found

someone like her. The kids love her so the time was right and she was sent to

me.

Sweetie, I can relate. I have been up forever trying to prepare for a hearing

tomorrow. Not working or doing something different sure sounds good tonight.

Hang in there. big hugs from someone else who knows the meaning not just of

tired - but fatigued.

I live in Tennessee. I deerhunted this week the temperature was 18

degrees. I have very good cold weather clothing and boots. I think

the rain and humidity is worse for me. The bigest problem I am having

is getting infection and having to stop my embrel. I takes about 5

weeks for it to start working again. I take plaquenil and embrel along

with about 16 more different pills. You might get your doctor to try

you on embrel. I hope everyone has a good new year.

God Bless

Thanks everyone for responding to my question about weather. As the

years go by, my RA is becoming more sensitive to weather changes. I

used to love winter, and I've never loved summer. My aunt moved to New

Mexico from Austin last year, and she's says it's freezing out there.

My cousin lives in Arizona and it's cold there now too. So, I guess

I'll have to shoot for maybe San Diego or Santa Barbara. ;-)

I'm living in Santa Barbara, and it is cold there too of late.

However, it is dry and that helps me feel more comfortable. Less

pain. Humidity is the worst for me.

What part of Arizona does your cousin live in? I have a niece that lives in Phoenix, and I could be wrong, but I haven't heard her mention it being cold there, yet. Dear Susie- I was thinking of relocating to AZ myself but when I found out about the scorpion problem there, it stopped me short in my tracks. California seems alot safer especially when you turn on the tap from the sink or tub which in AZ means they live in the pipes and can flatten themselves to the thinness of a credit card to get inside. It is cold here and I am miserable but after reading all the posts from people living there who have been stung by them I am actually happy to be here in the cold. Eeeeks. Hugs, Deborah.

Thanks, Debs. I have to confess that I love snow. And I have had plenty to
