Guest guest
, I slept extremely well at first and was very grateful since I had been sleeping poorly for years. After a few weeks I started waking up several times every night. Melatonin to the rescue... I take 3mg at bedtime most nights and sleep like a far more innocent person. If my sinuses are hurting I'll take a half a Benadryl instead, but I feel kind of groggy the following morning and very thirsty. I do rest awfully well though on the Benadryl nights. With the Melatonin I'll wake up if my hands go to sleep, which they do quite often at night now, but I have no trouble going back to sleep. On the Benadryl nights nothing wakes me up. Well, my little dog still manages to rouse me enough to lift the covers so he can get under them. He does persevere... Guest guest
You may find you no longer need the Tylenol to sleep. Try the ldn without tylenol for a few weeks. I f you have insomnia take the tylenol evry few nights so that you can tell if the ldn is finally giving you the sleep it should. It took 17 days of insomnia, but once the ldn kicked in, I am sleeping better than I have in 8 yrs. (actually I am sleeping for the first time in 8 yrs!!) Guest guest
Wonderful Cherie, According to Dr. Mannsman, who got me through my burning feet problem with his recommendations for Magnesium, you take Magnesium to the point you develop diarrhea . . . then start backing down until it reoccurs . . . back down some more, etc. until you reach a point where you are taking as much as possible without diarrhea. . . (remember to take two parts Calcium to every one part Magnesium) The most accurate test for Magnesium levels is the wasting test. There, one is dosed with a given amount of magnesium. Urine is collected for 24 hours, then tested to see how much Magnesium is passed. The body will absorb as much Magnesium as it needs. The difference between the intake and what is passed determines if one is deficient in Magnesium. You can get a lot more information at this website: http://www.magnesiumresearchlab.com/Dosing-with-Mg-Suppl-6-3-04.htm Dr. Mannsman will answer questions privately . . . just don't pester him. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Hey Cherie - I might just have to try magnesium, too, as I haven't slept well in about a month. Guest guest
I went out and bought a CD alarm clock and several CD's designed to be relaxing and help you fall to sleep. They didn't work for me, because I kept thinking I had to keep listening until it was over. Therefore, I had to stay awake until it was over, LOL. Guest guest
I have a suggestion for you if you find many medicines not so effective to cure the disease. My aunt was suffering from the pain caused by RA. At first, she did try many treatments but none of them were really effective in relieving the pain. Those medicines cost her a lot of money and she was unable to work at all due to this disease. But later, she was referred to try this medicine and we were all surprised to see her completely recover from the pain. She was able to get back to work again since then. I hope this medicine can work on you as well and if you want to learn about this med, I will contact my aunt. Hope you get better no matter what. Guest guest
My girl use to have this sleeping issues. when she used Famvir she began sleeping better, then we change to Valtrex and she began waking up at 4am again, returning to famvir she is sleeping fine again. My feeling is that when the virus is a under control, she sleeps much better. Also, she uses to have 15 days to get adapted to any increase or new medicine. > > My grandson in the past month bed at 9:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. wakes up at 2:00 a.m. stays awake til 5-5:30a.m. then awake a 8:30 a.m. This isn`t enough sleep for a child his age last nite he stayed overnite didn`t go to sleep til 11:00 p.m. > Not eating one of the reasons(I think due to to tired to sleep)he may sleep 1 night because he is so exhausted. > Dr. Goldberg says take 2 benadryl before bed. he also takes 1/4 tab. tenex. > The only recent changes has been on prozac for 1 1/2 months (just inc. dose) & changed to acyclovir to valtrex. > Has anyone have these sleep & eating problems with their child? > Thanks > Carole >

He was on famvir still had sleep issues but not everyday like he is now. I am sure your right about the virus under control. I think does not have enough melatonin ect to help with sleep too. Thanks for your reply. How long was she on valtrex? Carole
