I feel the same way because yes, I have read that it would be bad to give tylenol and bring the fever down. But when it's the middle of the night and my baby has a fever, I don't necessarily think calmly. During the day, I'm a bit more calm. But - 105? Day or night, I think I'd be worried. > > > > I've read that the fever can go up to 105 degrees. That would > probably scare me and > > cause me to go. > > I hear you. Guest guest
Parents were nervous and wanted a diagnosis? Maybe it was the weekend or nighttime and office hours were closed at the docs? I recently took my son into the ER in the middle of the night for what turned out to be a stomach bug. It doesn't mean he was in dire straits, just I was concerned and didn't want to wait until the morning. Winnie Re: Measles Outbreak Vaccinations > > > > > No, the outbreaks are real. Guest guest
I start getting nervous when the temp's around 103. At that point, I usually give homeopathic meds. But never Tylenol or other suppressive meds like that. It doesn't happen often but when it does, it seems it's always at night. Very scary. Guest guest
Hello Everyone, This is where knowing acute homeopathy comes in very handy! Take a course, read books, arm yourself with knowledge and you'll be prepared in case anything comes up. Acute homeopathic knowledge will empower you, and you won't have to depend on doctors for what can generally be handled beautifully at home. No more midnight panic trips to the ER. Check in your area for such a course; I have offered them here in Maine at the university, at local health food stores, at alternative book stores, just to get the knowledge out. You can do it! Keep learning, Sholtz, Ph.D, RSHom(NA), CCH *Registrar, North American Society of Homeopaths

Guest guest
Because it is best for people to actually get measles, mumps, and chickenpox I think that people should make it a point that if their kids get any of these illnesses they spread it around as much as possible and make sure these illnesses make a come back It might sound unfair, but who knows this might help many people gain natural immunity, and be spared an injection full of poison. sherry bakko wrote: > > I was just thinking the same thing - I had measles, chicken pox, and > mumps. Guest guest
Will there be an enrollment date later for the September class? I'm interested, just not sure where to send an email telling you that. Thanks, Kathy Sheri Nakken wrote: > > At 05:10 AM 7/16/2008, you wrote: > >Hello Everyone, > > > > This is where knowing acute homeopathy comes in very > > handy! Guest guest
It can be scary the first time your child has a very high fever but as long as they are handling it fine then it is best to just let it run its course. My daughter tends to get fevers between 104-105 when she gets sick and it lasts for days. She has only had this a few times but I did not do anything to bring it down. I agree that it can make you nervous but I was constantly with her and encouraging her to drink often even if it was just a couple sips of water. I did not try to rush her to get better and I pretty much would put my life on hold for that week so I could monitor how she was doing. My husband gets so worried when she is like that and it is very difficult for him to not run and get the Motrin or whatever. He can't handle it so he cannot be around her until her fever is gone. Also, after every high fever I noticed huge developmental or growth spurts within a week of her recovering. This never happened with little colds and low fevers but only with very high ones. I feel that no matter how much we know, if my child would have such a high fever, i would be very scared and wouldn't know what to do with all the conflicting info. Didn't it say somewhere NOT to bring fever down? That it's very dangerous to administer any medicine and just let the disease run it's course? But then again how do you know when something is wrong and you're just keeping your child at home instead of getting some kind of intervention.....what a dilemma Katarina
Guest guest
That's interesting about the development/growth spurts after fevers. I wonder what's behind that. Funny how we pick up these insights along the way. I've always thought the testy phases kids have happen when teeth are coming in, not just as babies but around ages 5-6 and 11 when the molars come in. I've also heard there's a correlation between being able to read well and having your permanent teeth. The fever one is new to me--very observant of you to pick it up. Guest guest
Thanks, after 18 years of kids, I'm still learning! Guest guest
Even in adults - DH had 3 UCI in 18 months as an adult and has never had tonsilitis since, yet it had been the bane of his life during winter months for about a decade. Had occasional colds since, never had a flu, heaps of military jabs. Had amalgam removal 15 years sgo and used a homoeopathic and vitamin protocol before during and after removal. Re: Re: Measles Outbreak It was seen and noted after childhood illnesses also - and we still see it, even other other illnesses and fever It was a very well known thing Sheri
