Guest guest
Subject: Rammo's Prozac withdrawal tips. A wealth of evidence suggests antidepressants are addictive. The World Health Organisation received more reports of withdrawal from drugs like Prozac than previously prescribed tranquillisers like valium. Anyone wishing to come off these drugs should do so slowly, seeking good medical advice to ensure safe withdrawal. Just stopping them may make withdrawal worse and can be harmful. After being on these drugs for this long, I would expect you to experience some withdrawal symptoms, for example, mood deterioration/changes, fatigue, nausea, diarrhoea, appetite changes, dizziness, tingling/electric shock sensations, sweating, sleep disturbance, aching muscles and joints. Some natural remedies such as Chamomile or Cal-mag, consisting of calcium and magnesium, may help ease withdrawal symptoms. Be careful of some herbal remedies as you may be sensitive to these. Make sure you eat healthily - lots of fresh fruit and vegetables - and get plenty of rest whilst you are withdrawing. Products to avoid include artificial sweeteners and foods containing refined sugars, caffeine or gelatine. Eat small, regular meals containing a portion of protein (ideally about six a day) to maintain blood sugar levels and try to eat organic where possible as these drugs can make people sensitive to chemicals.
