I agree that the POSSIBLE side effects of

this or other medications are scary but I think the LIKELY side effects of

untreated or undertreated RA are much more scary. We have all heard about

placebos where if someone expects good results they get them, but I recently

also heard about nocebos where if someone expects bad results they get

them. I’m not trained in medicine or psychiatry but I think if you

concentrate on the benefits you hope for from Methotrexate you are increasing

your chances of achieving the good results. Please think positive because

it is good for your health. God bless.

Responses to Methotrexate Question

Thanks for your responses to my question about what to expect when

taking Methotrexate.

I already have some joint damage so I am trying it in hope that it

stops the progression of the disease. The side effects of the drug

are scary but I really don't know what else to do at this point.
