flexeril is a muscle relaxant. It can have severe psychological side effects.

My father took gabapejtin for sciatica which worked and also induced a kind of

euphoria, sense of well being. These would be prescribed for fibromyalgia but

wld have little effect on ra.

Diclofenac I do not know. You might want to go to askapatient.com and see what

others have experienced.

I take these three for RA, fibromyalgia etc., and have been

taking

them for more than 5 years. I'm concerned about long-term effects.

I have taken Flexeril in the past and never had a problem. I was told it's a muscle

relaxant and it was given to me for a problem I had with my neck. I get nodules at the

top of my neck where it meets with the base of the head. The nodules are very hard.

They are small and round like the size of an M & M (candy). They're like a 'charlie horse'

or spasm of the muscles that support the neck. Part of it is caused by stress and the

rest is due to the arthritis I have in my neck since I've been in my mid 20's. Holding my

head in a certain position for a long period of time (like to the side) seems to bring them

on faster.

Anyway, I think it's a safe medicine. However I didn't take it for years at a time. I took it for

several weeks until the nodules went down in size and finally disappeared. I don't know

how it affects you, but it made me tired. I suppose that's the only way to get the muscles

to relax.
