Guest guest
I just know that cough medicine with hydrocodone makes me itch all night long...miserable. And it seems that I get most of the side effects of any type of medication. My hubby thinks is psychososymatic but I'll have a side effect before I even know what the possible side-effects are! It's SO not in my head lol FYI -- after I stopped the Topamax I feel SO much BETTER! Any one else have problems with Topamax?
Guest guest
Dear - This is a big gun opiate. It can be very addictive. Remicade must be used with MTX to be truly effective. Opiates are a temporary fix because when they stop working the pain comes flooding back. I live with a level of pain. I want to hear what my body is telling me. I use Ibuprofen (800mg) twice a day. I take 6mg of prednisone which helps. I would try darvocet (darvon/tylenol) instead of hydrocodone. Talk to your pain clinic about naltrexone. It has applications asscociated with auto immune disease and is also a beta endorphin used to help people come off opiates. If Remicade doesnt work I would try a bigger gun. Rituxan is a B-Cell blocker which interrupts the way cells talk to one another. Sometimes a TNF binding agent isnt effective. I also hear the Interlukin-6 drug is just weeks away from approval. Treating the disease by removing the inflammation which causes pain is the key to management. Eliminating pain is not disease management but pain management. If you are not on a regimine of prednisone/plaquenil/ibuprofen....talk to your RD about it. Good Luck. I'm concerned about addiction. Thanks so much
Guest guest
I have been taking pain and muscle spasm meds for over 20 yrs, Just two years ago got RA . I you are hurting bad enough, and want some kind of life you should not be concerned about addiction. I now take oxycodone 3 x day with darvocet, flexaril, along with my ra med and about 15 other medications per day. The only way I can function is to take this medication, You better believe I will take it. Guest guest
My doc put me on Tramodol. It’s supposed to be non-narcotic (thus non-addictive). Might want to try it. Guest guest
I was on it for several weeks following surgery and it worked fine for me. I does make you sleepy so driving would not be a good idea. I had no problems going off it. Sharon
Guest guest
YES!!!!!! Hydrocodone uses the same receptors as LDN. LDN will decrease the effectiveness of opiate pain relievers. Opiates in the receptors will prevent LDN from getting in and doing its beneficial work. Go to www.low dose naltrexone.org and read all you can about how to use LDN. Guest guest
Hydrcodone is a narcotic pain reliever and should not be used with LDN. http://www.webspawner.com/users/avoidthesedrugsonldn/index.html Art --- > > Is it a problem taking LDN will taking Hydrocodone for pain? > > vinnylid >
