Guest guest
Hi all, Happy New Year to all of you! I wish for a pain free year for all of us in 2008! I've been suffering from constant pain for a year and a half. This summer i was diagnosed with RA because of RH factor of 110 or so. I have symatrical pain in my forearms, wrists and hands - classic symptoms of RA. However, I never have morning stiffness and blood work shows no inflamation. I have gone to several Rhumys and they all had me on prednisone, methotraxate and sulfazalazine. These meds have helped somewhat but i'm still in constant pain. Today i went to see a " big shot " doctor here in NYC, and he said he didn't think i had RA at all, just fibro. He wants me to stop taking methotrexate and sulfazalazine but start this Lyrica instead. He says just by feeling my joints I don't have any inflamation so I dont have RA. What do I do? Can I stop the metho and sulfa cold turkey? whom do i believe? why is everyone else thinking that i have RA but not this guy? Please please any advise is appreciated!
