know from my genotype (1b), and the unforgettable fact that I am a

non-responder to the current standard combo treatment, that I need a more

aggressive treatment than is available to me right now. My current GI would

only prescribe Infergen to me right

now, and only at 3 times a week dosing. This isn't good enough. My chances

of responding to that are almost zero. >>

Have you tried daily dosing or every other day dosing like I'm doing?

You know from the new stuff I been reading... even the genotypes that used

to do only 24 weeks are now saying they shoulda done 48 weeks. So who knows,

we learn as we go.

You are so right. We are all in a sense the guinea

pigs for the ones who come after us!

Pat, every other day dosing would simply not be

aggressive enough. That 24 hour break just lets the

virus recuperate and it begins multiplying rapidly

again. One extra dose a week wouldn't help. Daily

might, and I would have given Infergen a shot IF my

doctor would prescribe it daily, and write me a

prescription for compound ribavirin. He won't.
