Guest guest
The WA State senate passed HB 1005 on 2-14-11, and the House SB 5005 (a different version of the same bill) on 3-25-11. This bill seeks to restrict access to vaccine exemptions. The wording must still be resolved by committee, and the law signed by the governor to become law, so it is not yet a done deal. I drafted a letter to the Governor and Health Care and Wellness Committee explaining why each version of this bill is unconstitutional, citing federal legal precedent supporting my position: Letter to WA Governor and Health Care Committee (http://www.vaccinerights.com/pdf/SB5005AttorneyLetter.pdf). I believe if enough people submit this letter to the governor and committee, with or without any other objections they may have, it could raise sufficient concern to stop the bill from becoming law. Information about WA legislators and committee members can be found here: http://www.leg.wa.gov/pages/home.aspx Corrections and updates may follow as they come to my attention. -- Alan , J.D. www.vaccinerights.com www.pandemicresponseproject.com
