Guest guest
Please don't do that, . Do you have family? I have been flaring since October an am in horrible pain. So many of us have been where you are, had that feeling. I have been suicidal a few years back. But now I have a wonderful husband and beautiful toddler son and all the joy that brings that I never would have experienced if I went ahead with my feelings. I know health is important, but so is love. Tell us more about you. I haven't been on these boards for a while and don't know if you are new or not. I care and there are many people here who do as well. --- In Rheumatoid Arthritis , " Marika " <tobytoby99350@...> wrote: > > i have RA for the past 16 years now, the first 10 years i had a job, > that was so hard on my joints, sometimes i came home crying because i > was in so much pain. > I have ben taking Methotraxate for about 6 yrs, and it was the best > medication, at all had no side effects whatsoever, but i think the > medicine is wearing off, because i have so much flareups now. > In 2007 bevore christmas i was put on Orencia, got preasurred in , > Had so many side effcts, but the Dr just ignored them all untill right > before christmas i had to go to the hospithal 2x with Pneumonia, > the problems i had, was with my knees, she told me the medication would > help, what it did not at all it just got worse, But you never complain > to a Dr, because the know it all. Guest guest
Dear , I know how you feel, like then end of the world is nigh !! Lots of us have been there too, but something makes you keep going on. My family and grandchildren needed me so I had to battle on. I live in England and here we have an organisation called Arthritis Care, where you can get support, speak to people you have the illness and gain comfort from their experiences. Learning to cope with RA is hard. If you have family please tell them your feelings and I am sure they will rally round you. Unless you are on the receiivng end of this awful disease no-one can understand, so you must tell them. I find that relaxation helps and I am always listening to my MP3 player, very soothing calming type of music. I also attend tai chi group tailored specifically for RA patients, very gentle, but I find this very soothing and calming and I love going to classes. I practice 2 times per day at home, my blood pressure has also improved since doing this, as has my temper !! The best thing of all is a good laugh, though sometimes you feel unable. I find it helps and cannot get enough of my little 5 year old grandson who keeps me laughing all the time, he is a total joy to me and one of the reasons I must keep on going. We are all here for each other remember, and I send loving wishes for you - Lynda <catdelouise@...> wrote: Please don't do that, . Do you have family? Guest guest
, Honey, if you are not on anything for depression, please contact your doctor and get something. I have not had RA for 16 yrs, only diagnosed a little over a year ago. I was complaing to my doctor for 2 years before he tested me for RA. Then he told me it was not bad enough to refer me to a rheumatologist. What a quack. He is not my doctor anymore. You are right, some doctors do not listen, but there are doctors who will. You have fought this disease too long to just give up. What ever was in you to keep you going is still there. You are understandably tired! I don't know you, but I care about your suffering. Hold on Honey, there is a GREAT chance that things will turn around and you will feel decent again. Life is hard but I know that you are tough. You have proven it these past 16 yrs. Please don't give up now. I hope to see a post from you in the not too distant future with great enthusiasm for what is ahead.
