I would love to have a network of friends that live in my town. Let's share and maybe we can help eachother in the process!

My name is . I live in Castle Rock, Colorado. (South of Denver) I am 47 and have had RA for 7 years. I have been in pain for 15, but was only diagnosed 7 years ago. I have 2 kids, 23 and 16. I am currently on Enbrel, but it is failing. My biggest issue is fatigue due to not sleeping at night. I take Ambien, but I still wake up in pain. I have worked all my life but now find it hard to work cuz I am so tired and cranky. I have applied for disability but have been denied and I am in the appeal phase. It's been 3 years of filling out paperwork and I am finding it hard to pay for the rising cost of treatment. I would love to meet someone in Colorado who can relate to the altitude/weather issues that is unique to Colorado.

Thanks!

Dear It is so sweet of you to care, you see just a little kindness will make a persons day, knowing somewhere out there is a person that cares.I live in a little town in Washington ( Prosser )The hospital is about 30 miles away,I found out there is a buss going to the Tri Citys every day. So maybe i will just do that, and the Dr, told me i had to stay over night there, since i don`t have anybody staying with me.Thank you with all my heart for caring, you brought a little sunshine into my life today.Love Marika

There should be an arthritis foundation support group meeting near you.  Go to www.arthritisfoundation.orgOn Thu, Apr 23, 2009 at 3:20 PM, Marika <tobytoby99350@...> wrote:

Dear Marika,

I'm glad that I was able to bring a little sunshine into your day. I'm sure that all of the people on this board care about you and your well-being. Are you able to meet any people in your area that can help you out? Perhaps at church or some other group. I'm happy to hear that you found a bus. If you ever need encouragement or support, we are here for you. If you ever need to email me personally, my email address is pjweymer@....

Hang in there!

Jean
