Guest guest
It took quite a few months for me, plus one extra vial (so I’m on 750 mls now, I think). It was worth the wait. Hang in there! karenbfromtennessee at PaperBackSwap.com From: Rheumatoid Arthritis [mailto:Rheumatoid Arthritis ] On Behalf Of i_live_in_slippers Sent: Tuesday, August 24, 2010 1:49 PM Rheumatoid Arthritis Subject: 1st Orencia Infusion Had my first Orencia infusion last Friday. So far I've had no side effects. I go for my 2nd on Sept 3, hoping for the same. Have been told it will take a few months before I start to see if I feel some relief and am really hoping this works. On a side note I found out that I need a hysterectomy and will be getting that done in November. Wondering how laying in bed for the recovery is going to be on my RA. Seems like any time something happens like that a huge flare up comes on. Always something. No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
6 months for me until it worked. Then started having bad side effects. Just felt so SICK that day and for a few days after. Finally quit and now on Simponi.----- Original Message -----From: Beyke <karenbeyke@...>Date: Tuesday, August 24, 2010 17:01Subject: RE: 1st Orencia InfusionRheumatoid Arthritis > It took quite a few months for me, plus one extra vial (so I'm > on 750 mls> now, I think). Guest guest
When I had my partial hysterectomy they gave me stress steroid to help keep the flaring to a minimum. They gave me 300mg which had me as jittery as a jack rabbit so dont take that much. Talk with your RD about it. Good Luck with that. If you are going to be on a replacement hormone therapy, take it instead of a bone builder. Osteonecrosis is a real threat. I am due to have my second bad filling removed by shaving it off the bone....really gross and chance of infection is great. Actonel or Fosamax is fine until you need a tooth extracted then you will rue the day you were Rx'D a bonebuilder. Leucovorin may also be an option. Talk to your RD. Guest guest
Deborah, I’m thinking about bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Does that mean I should be careful with the Actonel? I didn’t realize the replacement therapy substitutes for the bone building.
