Guest guest
I am on MTX and Enbrel injections weekly. I get a horrible rash instantaneously following my Enbrel. Does anyone else have this? Something I should be concerned about? It is the 1st biologic I have tried. I'm wondering if I should try something different. I have more bad days than good. Also, does anyone take any herbal supplements they would recommend? I met a lady who sells some and "claims" they work wonders. One bottle is $30 and lasts 2 months. I'm waiting on a catalog. Just looking for opinions and past experience:) Thanks!aDX 8/2008MTX/Enbrel weekly inj.Love~Light~PeaceFrom: " Beyke" <karenbeyke@...>Sender: Rheumatoid Arthritis Date: Tue, 2 Feb 2010 11:20:38 -0600<Rheumatoid Arthritis >Reply Rheumatoid Arthritis Subject: RE: sdale Mayo Clinic I did want to share some of the handexercises that were given to me by the Mayo Clinic. They have them online: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/arthritis/AR00030You might want to cruise around theirwebsite. Guest guest
I think a rash is something you need to let your doc know. It may be the beginning of an allergic reaction. The MTX/Enbrel is a typical first combination. Be prepared: everyone is different and so it may take awhile to find the perfect combo for you. It took me 2.5 years (mostly because they want you to be on a drug for about 6 months to give it a chance to take full effect. Talk to your doc about other biologics…and be sure s/he knows any supplements you might be taking just in case they might interfere with your treatment. God bless!
