Guest guest
ME TOO! I have had a tremendous amount of pain in the last month. Here in Colorado the weather changes from summer to winter and then back again all in one week's time. I find that the low pressure systems seem to create more stiffness and pain with or without pain meds. ----- Original Message -----From: "hlflatau" <hlflatau@...>"rheumatoid arthritis" <Rheumatoid Arthritis >Sent: Thursday, February 5, 2009 12:51:42 PM GMT -07:00 US/Canada MountainSubject: Limping along We may be limping along, but there are probably many of us like me,who are simply reading and not contributing. The checks started coming 6 months later. I have though been on disability for 10 years now in CA and I have heard it was easier to get 10 years back. It was neat because with the big first check I got I got my Harley dog who has been a blessing in my life. He is a longhaired fawn and white chihuahua. Guest guest
I don’t know who told you that but I do think some well educated people are still disabled and qualify for Medicaid. I think you should call an attorney who specializes in disability and see what they think. Most people need an attorney at some point in filing for disability and they get a certain part of your first check regardless on when they start and they don’t get pain unless you win. I hope you get all that is coming to you. God bless. Guest guest
Education has NOTHING to do with applying for disability. These benefits are for people who cannot work due to a diagnosis and disease progression of RA. As long as your doctor is caring for you and the diagnosis is valid and you follow and keep your doctors appts and stay on your medications, you can hire a disability lawyer who will go to a law judge and present your case, ensuring your benefits. Furthermore, depending on how long you have been diagnosed, your benefits will be retroactive, meaning you will be awarded back monies if appropriate. I was denied twice and had to sue the courts for my benefits. you must do the same. Yours, Deborah. Guest guest
thanks for the encouragement From: har8han4 <elainesndmsn (DOT) com>Subject: [rheumatoid_ arthritis] Limping Alongrheumatoid_arthriti sgroups (DOT) comDate: Saturday, February 14, 2009, 3:56 PM I just wanted to say with the hard getting disability is all I did is have my doctor say to me that I need disability and he sent in a paper and the next thing I knew I was before a review committee and they said they approved the disability. The checks started coming 6 months later. I have though been on disability for 10 years now in CA and I have heard it was easier to get 10 years back. It was neat because with the big first check I got I got my Harley dog who has been a blessing in my life. He is a longhaired fawn and white chihuahua. Guest guest
I was told by the Department of Human Services that SS said I was not disabled so there fore I did not qualify for Medicaid. I get so mad when I see people that have never paid into the system and they can get medical help. Insurance company says they can't cover me because my illness. When they will cover me it is so expensive I can't afford it. From: Harold Van Tuyl <hvantuyl@...>Subject: RE: Limping AlongRheumatoid Arthritis Date: Thursday, April 16, 2009, 8:40 PM I don’t know who told you that but I do think some well educated people are still disabled and qualify for Medicaid. I think you should call an attorney who specializes in disability and see what they think. Most people need an attorney at some point in filing for disability and they get a certain part of your first check regardless on when they start and they don’t get pain unless you win. I hope you get all that is coming to you. God bless. Guest guest
My son was caught in a catch-22 in that he needs insurance to pay for his arthritis and other meds, yet has a learning disability that prevents him from being a full time student and covered on our medical insurance. I wrote to our state senator and it went through rather quickly. I have another issue going on with him currently and I send weekly emails to Obama, our state governor and senators. The squeaky wheel gets the grease! Our elected officials need to know about your situation. The internet is a wonderful tool...and its easy to find your state officials using Google or another search engine...good luck! ----- Original Message -----From: Etta Sterrett <ettasterrett@...>Date: Friday, April 17, 2009 7:19Subject: RE: Limping AlongRheumatoid Arthritis > I was told by the Department of Human Services that SS said I > was not disabled so there fore I did not qualify for Medicaid.
