IV iron infusion therapy - insight and side effects?

Hi everyone -

Just an update. My rheumy sent me to a hematologist last week due to my low

blood test results (specifically iron). The hematologist has diagnosed me with

iron deficiency anemia and I will have my first iv iron infusion two weeks from

now. It will be four hours long and hopefully I willl only need one infusion.

I wanted to know from all here if they have had an iron infusion and what side

effects I should expect.
